TURTLE TOUR

To see a sea turtle is already an experience, but to follow the egg deposition is really unforgettable. We would like to take you with us to see this natural wonder from close and to learn more about the sea turtles.
Please note that this tour underlies several restrictions of the National Park to protect the sea turtles. Therefore, it is not allowed for us to walk on the beach to look for the turtles, once spotters identify a turtle, visitors are invited to access the beach from a waiting area to observe the beautiful process up close. It is furthermore not allowed to take pictures or use cell phones etc. on the beach and we kindly ask to wear dark clothes.

CANOEING IN THE NATIONAL PARK

A canoe trip through the National Park Tortuguero is an unforgettable experience you should not miss. In a canoe (without motor) we bring you into the heart of the national park, into the small canals (prohibited for motorboats) so that you can see the flora and fauna very close without disturbing the animals.

WALKING TOUR THROUGH THE NATIONAL PARK

A walk through the national park is another must in Tortuguero. During a stroll on the trails of the park we show and explain you different local plants and many animals that camouflage in the rainforest.

Many rainforest animals are night active and leave their hiding places at sunset. The night tour is a unique possibility to see animals hiding during daytime. It’s the perfect option to complete the impressions of the fauna and flora of Tortuguero.

From the top of the Tortuguero hill you enjoy a marvelous view over the national park, the village and the surroundings. The tour to the hill of Tortuguero combines this view with an interesting walk through the rainforest. Please note that approximately 500 steps must be managed before enjoying the view….
